We have kept this release a little low profile as we are hand making the first edition and we'll be in trouble if too many people order at once. As we get more copies made we can advertise it a bit more.
We like regular manufacturing, but with some of our games we like to go back to the old hand made versions we have always done. On a business level it can be less risky which can be smart on new games such as Rocky Mountain High, but I've noticed by doing something by hand it can be telling how to better organize a greater production.
As a folio style game Rocky Mountain High does take a lot of cutting out. I'd guess it would take about 15 minutes to fully cut this out. These folio and magazine games probably are strange to some people. I need to take one look at my boxed board games and I understand why I really like this format. I can't buy a new boxed game without having to sell a boxed game to make room! Somewhere in time I filled up all of my allotted space for board games, meaning I can't add more boxed games to the space unless I sell other games off. While Folios and Magazine games have a wonderful charm about them in general, their size is really appealing to me. I have the same amount of magazines and folios on 1 bookshelf as I have board games in a entire room. I love the size of these kinds of games.
